Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced hiking guide to lead groups across Kosciuszko National Park landscapes. As a Thredbo Summer Guide, you will be responsible for creating a safe, informative, fun, and engaging experience for our guests.

You should be confident and knowledgeable when delivering interpretive information, sharing your passion for the outdoors and environment with others. A strong background in group leading, small group management, and guiding is essential for this role.

About the Role
  • Maintain a professional attitude, ensuring all guests have a safe and exceptional hiking experience
  • Manage groups to ensure compliance with safety protocols and emergency procedures
  • Comfortably deal with challenging situations including injuries, adverse weather, and wildlife encounters
  • Confidently navigate groups via local knowledge, map, and compass, electronic aids
  • Personalise interpretative information to better engage guests
Requirements
  • Guiding experience in Australian alpine environments
  • Group leading experience with ability to manage diverse groups
  • Familiarity with Australian Alps and surrounding regions
  • New South Wales 'Working with Children Check'
  • Full Driver's License
  • Experience in a tourism-based customer service role
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
