We are seeking a Strategic Tax Advisor to join our dynamic team.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tax professional to take on a challenging role in our market leading state taxes team. You will be working with high-profile clients across various industries, including infrastructure, property, energy and natural resources, financial services and funds.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • You will be exposed to a wide variety of day-to-day tasks whilst working directly and autonomously with our clients, including tax due diligence, structuring, post-deal implementation and advisory work.
  • Assist in identifying duty and land tax exposures of deals, providing clear communication and risk assessment.
  • Advising on duty consequences of mergers acquisitions restructures and divestments.
  • Identifying duty obligations and assisting in preparing submissions for lodgements applications rulings and objections with revenue authorities.
  • Conduct tax research, provide advice on tax planning opportunities and assist clients in managing tax risks in their businesses.

About You

To be considered for this opportunity, you will have:

  • A completed Bachelor's degree in Law together with Accounting Commerce Economics or equivalent.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a client-facing team environment and drive individual development.
  • Strong personal initiative and willingness to take responsibility for your own work.
  • Able to demonstrate a keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities.
