
Mental Health Specialist

Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate mental health professional to support individuals experiencing severe and episodic mental health conditions. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with clients to build skills, strategies, and resources to promote their mental wellbeing and facilitate their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage clients in goal planning and supporting them to work towards these goals with a focus on capacity building.
- Facilitate consumer self-assessments and incorporate them into the goal planning process.
- Closure planning with a focus on ensuring clients have access to appropriate supports and resources to continue on their recovery journey when they leave the program.
- Strong administration practices.
- Facilitate group programs as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Able to use a creative approach to the design of goals and skill development programs with people experiencing mental ill-health.
- Excellent organisational, time management skills, and ability to be self-directed.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and able to write accurate, thorough, and comprehensive documentation.
- Able to work within complex environments and be outcome-focused.
- Experience using evidence-based approaches to promote mental wellbeing.
