Role Summary

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of HVAC Controls Technician in Brisbane. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and commissioning building automation systems using direct digital controls (DDC), airflow, hydronics, refrigeration theory, and applied control strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair issues with existing installed base of building automation systems.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, quote remedial works, and perform ongoing planned maintenance.
  • Represent the company as the primary customer contact and service products and equipment on assigned tasks.
  • Coordinate with team leaders and customers to understand requirements for on-site repairs.
  • Stay up-to-date on Trane and Trend products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair of direct digital control systems.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience in the relevant industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Current QLD driver's license.
  • Construction Induction Card.
  • Trade Qualified in a relevant trade.
  • Thorough understanding of HSE industry requirements.
  • Applied knowledge of BMS engineering principles and energy conservation measures.
  • Hands-on experience in building management systems.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience working on small service projects.
  • Technical knowledge in HVAC and Central Plant or Energy Solutions environment.
  • High level of technical competency in BMS and related control products/devices (Ideally Tridium / Trend / Tracer).
