Audit Specialist

Overview

We are seeking highly skilled professionals to conduct regulatory audits and manage biosecurity and export risks across various commodities and functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and/or conduct audits to ensure strong industry compliance, utilizing expertise in auditing principles and practices.
  • Maintain accurate and timely record keeping, adhering to guidelines and client service standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve audit skills through learning and development opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and industry parties, to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships within the department, with regulated entities, and across the industry.
  • Drive business improvement initiatives, demonstrating a commitment to positive change.
Requirements
  • Hold a valid Australian motor vehicle driver's license.
  • Be willing to wear an official uniform supplied by the department, including during field operations.
  • Comply with departmental Work Health & Safety policies and procedures by wearing appropriate protective personal equipment and clothing.
  • Be prepared for overseas, interstate, or intrastate travel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge related to imports and/or exports or agricultural industries.
