Job Role Overview

This is a highly rewarding role within our Dialysis Clinic, providing exceptional patient care and support.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for protecting the rights of patients by adhering to Privacy Principles and delivering an outstanding standard of care.
  • They will ensure cleanliness and tidiness of patient environments and stock rooms, maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for staff and visitors alike.
  • A key aspect of this role is ensuring thorough cleaning of isolation rooms as required, adhering to policy and procedures.
  • The incumbent will also be responsible for cleaning exterior surfaces of dialysis machines, patient chairs, and over-bed tables, following established protocols.
  • In addition, they will assist with basic food preparation and delivery of nutritional requirements to patients, as well as aid in meal ordering.
  • Responsibilities include serving, distributing, and collecting patient/visitor meals and refreshments, arranging transport from dialysis treatment, and re-stocking consumables in stockrooms and trolleys as needed.
  • They will monitor consumable stores, order stock as necessary, confirm delivery, check inventory, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • The role also involves performing periodic stocktakes when requested, maintaining the Clinic Manager database, and ensuring routine collection and disposal of linen, rubbish, and contaminated waste.
  • Additional responsibilities include ordering and packing away linen, assisting in the collection of blood samples, and participating in Quality Improvement activities as directed by the Dialysis Clinic Manager.
Key Responsibilities
  • Protect patients' rights by upholding Privacy Principles and delivering high-quality care.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient areas and stockrooms.
  • Clean isolation rooms according to policy and procedure.
  • Sanitize dialysis equipment and furniture.
  • Assist with meal preparation and delivery.
  • Serve and distribute patient/visitor meals and refreshments.
  • Arrange patient transportation from dialysis treatment.
  • Restock consumables and supplies as needed.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies accordingly.
  • Perform stocktakes and maintain the Clinic Manager database.
  • Ensure proper disposal of waste and linens.
  • Order and store linen supplies.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement initiatives.
