About the Role

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to join our team as a Senior Group Accountant. Reporting to the Deputy Financial Controller, this role will involve day-to-day management and supervision of the Group accounting functions and financial reporting process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise the Group accounting functions, including coordination of monthly management reporting, statutory and taxation compliance, and system development.
  • Develop and manage detailed data analysis and reporting across the Group for all projects, business operations, agribusiness operations, investments, and corporate initiatives.
  • Coordinate and prepare budgets, budget approvals, forecasts, and compliance with internal policies and procedures for financial governance of the Group.
  • Manage and prepare Payroll for a Group entity.
  • Assist in supervising junior accounting and finance roles within the Group as required.
  • Ensure each company adheres to management accounting standards and is financially compliant.
  • Ensure Group compliance with and development of Group governance standards, ASIC reporting, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • CA/CPA qualification + degree qualified in accounting and/or finance.
  • Extensive technical and practical experience in relevant areas of accounting.
  • Solid technical background, including statutory and taxation reporting experience and knowledge of accounting standards.
  • Excellent Excel skills + data modelling/analysis.

What We Offer

  • $130,000 to $140,000 + superannuation.
  • 12-month full-time contract.
  • Diversified finance role within a high-growth organisation.
