Job Description

The Career Pathways Advisor develops and delivers careers education programs for our students, providing guidance on post-secondary options and supporting their transition into the workforce or further education.

This role involves designing and implementing work experience programs, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of information resources available to guide students in choosing a career path, and providing counselling services to support students' identification of future pathways.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement work education programs to meet the needs of our students, ensuring regulatory compliance.

  2. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of post-School pathways for students, including tertiary education options and scholarship provision.

  3. Provide careers information sessions for parents and students, and facilitate relationships between schools and employers to support student placements.

Requirements:

  • Current Teacher Registration

  • Relevant tertiary qualification including Career Counselling qualification (minimum of Cert IV in Career Development)

  • Demonstrated effectiveness as a careers or work education teacher

  • Broad knowledge of post-School pathways for students

  • Previous experience of designing and conducting careers education programs, designing and conducting work experience programs and coordinating Tertiary Admission processes within a school
