Civil Earthworks Leader

As a result of significant growth, we are seeking an experienced leader in the civil earthworks and road construction space to oversee daily operational activities.

  • Manage earthworks activities, road and rail formation construction, pavements construction, drainage and finishing works relating to the civil construction.
  • Monitor progress to ensure timely delivery, quality standards and budget adherence.
  • Liaise with supervisor teams on ongoing projects.
  • Manage works in accordance with Project Management Plans.
  • Have a strong focus on personal and team safety through initiatives.
  • Ensure teams are skilled and resourced to meet productivity targets.
  • Drive productivity and manage performance of teams and subcontractors.
  • Lead and coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors daily.
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders including Senior Management, Clients and Government Authorities.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members.
  • Conduct and participate in site meetings.

Key Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in earthworks, formation and road pavement construction as well as drainage.
  • Strong ability to monitor progress and coordinate resources to deliver on time, within budget and quality standards.
  • Engaging and driven leader with experience in driving high standards of work and safety.
  • Previous experience managing large work crews.
  • Competence in planning projects and recording progress.
  • Strong IT and communication skills.
  • Excellent safety record.
