Technical Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Thomastown. This exciting opportunity will see you working on the maintenance and upkeep of various machinery and equipment.

As a Technical Maintenance Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to provide technical support to the Maintenance and Production teams. You will also be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to minimize downtime, contributing to routine planned shutdowns, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and codes.

Key focus areas include:

  • Providing technical support to the Maintenance and Production teams
  • Performing preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
  • Maintaining equipment condition and reliability
  • Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and codes

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including automated production environments, industrial instrumentation, and control systems. You will also contribute ideas for continuous improvement and assist in the development of job procedures as required.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical (Fitting/Machining) or equivalent qualifications
  • Experience working with Converting-type production lines in a FMCG environment
  • Machining and basic welding experience
  • Ability to work overtime hours as required
  • Experience using maintenance management systems
  • Knowledge & experience in safe working practices and LOTO processes
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
