Construction Management Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Supervisor to oversee the delivery of construction projects from commencement to completion.

The successful candidate will have a background in Carpentry or Building Trades and excellent communication skills. They will be responsible for determining construction methodologies, engaging and coordinating trades, and ensuring all work conforms to legislative and contractual OHS requirements.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver construction projects from commencement to completion
  • Determine construction methodologies from detailed scope of works
  • Engage, coordinate and manage trades during the restoration process for buildings damaged by insurable events
  • Communicate and negotiate with trades to track the progress of jobs
  • Oversee the delivery of works for an extensive client base
  • Provide regular updates to a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Ensure a high level of service is provided at all times
  • Liaise between insured parties and insurance companies
  • Coordinate access to properties
  • Dispute / issue resolution as required
  • Ensure all inspection, certificate of final inspection and other relevant documentation is signed off

Requirements:

  • Carpentry / building trade background or relevant construction qualification
  • Insurance Building experience highly regarded, however not essential
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Ability to build effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to be empathetic to the needs of the client
  • Familiarity with OHS practices, legislation and regulations and current market rates
  • Good work ethic and highly motivated
  • Strong computer skills and sound knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
  • Current and valid motor vehicle licence
