Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Small Animal Medicine Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our hospital, you will play a pivotal role in diagnosing and treating complex medical conditions in small animals, ensuring they receive the best possible care. Your expertise will help us deliver exceptional patient outcomes, while also participating in the training and development of veterinary staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead an internal medicine service, providing expert advice and guidance to colleagues and clients.
- Participate in the diagnosis and treatment of complex medical cases, using your knowledge and skills to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Collaborate with other specialists and veterinarians to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
- Mentor and train veterinary staff, including interns and residents, to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to the development of hospital policies and procedures, ensuring we remain at the forefront of veterinary care.
Requirements
- DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in small animal medicine.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in small animal medicine, preferably in a referral hospital setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with a passion for teaching and training.
