Senior Research Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Research Assistant to join our team at the Australian Rivers Institute. As a key member of our research group, you will play a pivotal role in our Linkage project focused on the ecosystem services derived from constructing a mangrove forest.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct laboratory and field research in coastal wetland biogeochemistry and ecology.
- Assist in designing data collection methods and scientific tests.
- Oversee data collection, storage, and preliminary analysis in accordance with research protocols.
- Prepare and compose reports.
- Supervise technical staff and support PhD students with field and laboratory work.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have relevant tertiary qualifications and significant research experience in coastal wetlands. You will also have demonstrated proficiency in analysing data from laboratory and field research in coastal wetland biogeochemistry and ecology, as well as experience in designing data collection methods and scientific tests.
