Caregiver Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Caregiver Specialist to join our team in Woodend. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with disabilities to live independently and participate fully in their communities.

• Active Support: Assist participants in developing personal interests, provide personal care, transportation, and coach independent living skills.
• Health Support: Administer and document medication, follow health support plans, and ensure overall well-being.
• Positive Behaviour Support: Manage behaviour triggers, escalate situations as needed, and promote a safe environment.
• Safeguarding: Ensure the safety of yourself and the participant, maintain accurate documentation, and report any incidents.

• You have a demonstrated motivation to work with people with disabilities.
• You possess experience working with diverse behaviours and personalities.
• You are available for a rotating roster, including weekends and overnights.
• You hold a valid NDIS Worker Check, National Police Check, driver's license, first aid certificate, and up-to-date Covid vaccinations.
