Policy and Advocacy Lead

This role oversees the development and implementation of policy initiatives to combat modern slavery. As a key member of the team, you will support the Commissioner in leading the Policy team, working closely with government agencies, business, civil society, unions, and the survivor community.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement policy initiatives to combat modern slavery;
  • Support the Commissioner in leading the Policy team, collaborating with key stakeholders;
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform policy advice;
  • Draft submissions and prepare briefing notes for senior stakeholders;
  • Assist the Commissioner in preparing for meetings, public events, and parliamentary proceedings;

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in policy development and implementation;
  • Strong research and analytical skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment;
  • Knowledge of modern slavery and human rights issues.
