Disability Support Specialist Position

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Disability Support Specialist.

  • This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with multiple disabilities.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering person-centred care within a family-focused framework, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery.
  • Key responsibilities include supporting the development and implementation of individualised plans, working closely with families and other stakeholders to ensure seamless transitions.
  • The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Certificate 3 in Disability or minimum three years' experience in complex support work.
  • Experience working with individuals with multiple and complex health needs.
  • Ability to use hoists, shower aids, vehicle wheelchair lifts, and vehicle wheelchair restraints.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • NDIS worker orientation module completion.
  • Blue Card and Worker screening card.
  • Open drivers' licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
