Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Food Service Assistant.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and selling food and drink items to customers in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Your duties will include cleaning and sanitizing workstations, equipment, and utensils, performing general cleaning tasks, restocking supplies and ingredients, and collecting cardboard and trash.

You will also be responsible for assisting with laundry, taking it to the service pick-up area, logging sanitation procedures performed on daily reports, and complying with health codes. Additionally, you will need to follow standard sanitation operating procedure (SSOP) guidelines and read labels for proper use and precautions of cleaning products.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and utensils
  • Perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, spraying, washing, and applying cleaning agents
  • Restock supplies and industrial-sized containers of ingredients
  • Collect cardboard and trash, operate trash compactor and cardboard baler
  • Assist with laundry and take it to the service pick-up area
  • Log sanitation procedures performed on daily reports and comply with health codes
  • Follow standard sanitation operating procedure (SSOP) guidelines and read labels for proper use and precautions of cleaning products

Necessary Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 kg and stand for long periods
