About the Role

This permanent part-time (0.4 FTE) position commencing Term 1, 2025, involves assisting the teacher with preparing and maintaining the learning environment. You will be responsible for maintaining equipment, materials, and resources for classes, displays, and demonstrations across all contexts of Home Economics.

You will also assist with cleaning and storage of items after classes and activities, as well as undertake regular cleaning tasks across Food Science, Childcare, and Textiles areas.

The successful applicant will have effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students and staff. They should be proactive, positive, and able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.

Your Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated good oral and written communication skills, including interacting with students, parents, and teaching professionals.
  • Demonstrated good interpersonal skills, including working as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated good organisational skills to assist in delivering effective education programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to assist with student health and wellbeing.

What We Offer

As a valued member of our team, you can expect a competitive salary package and opportunities for professional growth and development. The estimated annual salary range for this role is $55,000 - $65,000 depending on experience.
