About the RoleAs an Auxiliary Firefighter, you will be an integral part of our emergency response team, working closely with experienced firefighters to respond to a range of emergency situations. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Responding to emergency incidents, including fires, rescues, and other critical situations
- Participating in regular training and drills to maintain and improve your skills and knowledge
- Contributing to community education and awareness programs to promote fire safety and emergency preparedness
- Operating specialist firefighting and rescue equipment in a safe and effective manner
- Assisting with station maintenance and upkeep, including equipment and facilities
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- A strong commitment to serving your community and making a positive impact in emergency situations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- A high level of physical fitness and ability to perform tasks that require manual labor and physical exertion
- A valid Australian driver's license and ability to obtain a manual C-class driver's license
