As a Cost Manager, you will play a pivotal role in assisting with feasibility studies and crafting comprehensive procurement reports. You will also be responsible for supporting estimating and cost planning efforts, including developing and presenting the final cost plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate on feasibility studies and develop procurement reports that meet project requirements.
  • Support estimating and cost planning initiatives, including producing and presenting the final cost plan.
  • Assist with Tendering and procurement processes, including helping with pre-qualification stages, preparing pre-tender estimates, conducting tender analysis, creating tender reports, and compiling contractual documents.
  • Effectively manage post-contract cost variances and change control processes, referring major changes to senior management when necessary.
  • Conduct progress claim assessments on-site and review drawings of the plan.
  • Generate monthly post-contract cost reports for executive-level presentation to clients.
  • Contribute to value engineering initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure key information and learning generated from each project are documented in the company's internal database.
  • Identify opportunities to develop new business with existing clients and report these findings to senior management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with team members across multiple disciplines.
  • Adhere to project governance processes and systems throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum requirement is a Degree in Construction.
  • Candidates should be working towards Chartered status with AAIQS or RICS or equivalent recognized bodies.
  • At least 2+ years of experience in cost management, preferably within a private practice, consultancy, or construction organization.
