About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Policy Manager to work in collaboration with subject matter experts from The University of Adelaide (UoA) and the University of South Australia (UniSA) to develop and draft a fresh suite of contemporary policies and procedures in line with the Policy Framework for the new Adelaide University.

As a key member of the Interim Central Policy Unit (ICPU), you will be responsible for writing fresh policy content in a fast-paced environment, managing and coordinating policy-related activities, and engaging with stakeholders within an allocated portfolio.

Job Description

  • You will develop a suite of new policies and procedures ensuring they follow the established policy development process and are contemporary, fresh, and in line with the Adelaide University Policy Framework.
  • You will lead the development and delivery of a policy suite from end to end incorporating significant stakeholder engagement and manage and coordinate the high-quality production of Adelaide University policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline (e.g., law), or extensive experience in a comparable professional writing or editing position within a large complex organisation.
  • A level of personal resilience and agility to work within a face-paced environment and champion change management practices and advocacy.
  • Experience in drafting and editing documents which are user-friendly and readable by a diverse range of audiences with high-level detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences and clearly articulate and present complex information in a meaningful and usable form.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced, complex environment and interact, influence, negotiate, and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of the institution to achieve successful outcomes.

Estimated Salary: $108,351 - $122,046 per annum
