Shipping Container Inspector

As a Container Inspector, your key responsibility is to ensure the integrity of shipping containers. This involves accurately inspecting all incoming containers for any damage or defects.

Key Requirements:
  • Inspecting and reporting on container condition
  • Identifying and documenting major damage or third-party damage
  • Implementing and adhering to relevant depot policies and procedures, including occupational health and safety (OHS)

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in container inspection and/or repair operations
  • Knowledge of container inspection protocols and standards
  • Ability to operate a forklift (LF forklift license beneficial)
  • Container park operations experience beneficial
  • Current LF forklift operators' certificate
  • IICL Container inspector Certificate (preferable)
  • AQIS Class 2.6 Inspectors Accreditation (preferable)
  • Authorized Officer (AO) from DAFF highly regarded

This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of container inspection protocols and standards, as well as experience working in a fast-paced environment.
