**Culinary Assistant**

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and passionate culinary professional to join our team as a Demi Chef. As a key member of the kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes that meet the standards of our guests.

The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for first-class cuisine and a strong understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, and hygiene standards. You will work closely with the Chef de Partie to manage daily kitchen operations, maintain cleanliness and organization, and contribute to menu development and seasonal specials.

In this role, you will also have the opportunity to support the kitchen team in training and mentoring junior staff, ensuring stock levels are maintained, and kitchen equipment is in good working order.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Chef de Partie in managing daily kitchen operations
  • Prepare and cook dishes to the highest standards, ensuring quality, presentation, and consistency
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your section, adhering to food safety standards
  • Contribute to menu development and seasonal specials, working with premium, locally-sourced ingredients
  • Support the kitchen team in training and mentoring junior staff
  • Ensure stock levels are maintained and kitchen equipment is in good working order
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably with knowledge in Italian cuisine
  • A strong passion for food and a creative flair
  • Solid understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, and hygiene standards
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to excellence
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn and grow
