We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic cook to join our team in a busy childcare centre.
About the Role- The successful applicant will be responsible for providing healthy meals for children's growth and development.
- This fast-paced role requires high standards of organisation and time management skills.
- You will provide breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and late snack for all children in the service.
- Order, prepare, cook, and serve nutritional meals according to the menu plan.
- Ensure all meals meet individual dietary and health needs of children.
- Maintain high cleanliness and hygiene levels within environments.
- Upkeep professional standards, promoting positive relationships with children, families, colleagues, and the community.
- Engage with and contribute to the Kinda-Mindi cook community.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
Few Years' Experience: Working within large child care services.
Certification: Food Safety Supervisor Certification (desirable).
Licence: Current Working with Children Check clearance number.
Education: Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent.
Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of NSW Food Safety Act and legislative requirements.
Skill: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, computer literacy for ordering purposes.
Dietary Needs: Knowledge of catering for children with varied dietary and medical needs.
Awareness: Awareness of child safety and National Child Safe Principles.
