About the role

  • As a Grader Operator with our Production Mining Team, you will thrive on the variety of work available and live for challenges.
  • You will be responsible for operating machinery efficiently, safely, and competently to ensure maximum output.
  • Complying with Thiess' policies and procedures is essential in this role.
  • You will respond to instructions from the Mining Supervisor and ensure floor levels are maintained.
  • Minimising dilution and achieving design parameters within acceptable tolerances is crucial.
  • Maintain stockpiles, dumps, and haul roads to ensure flow in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Operate, drive, and move material as directed to prepare operating areas and roads.
  • Setting and maintaining high housekeeping standards is essential.
  • Carrying out pre-start checks is a critical part of this role.

About you

  • 5 years of experience operating a CAT 16M Grader in a production mining operation is required.
  • You must possess strong mining operational skills and be able to demonstrate your ability in maintaining pit floors and bunds in a mining production environment.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of ore mark ups and pit configuration are essential.
  • Proven compliance and commitment to health and safety at all times are required.
  • A valid Australian drivers license is necessary.
