The Role: Data Risk Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Data Risk Specialist to join our Data Governance and Risk Team. As a key member of this team, you will play a crucial role in assessing and bringing enterprise-critical data usages under governance.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessing and documenting end-to-end data flows and system processes.
  • Identifying potential data risks and implementing mitigating controls.
  • Recognizing opportunities for process enhancements and recommending strategic remediation measures.
  • Facilitating data governance business overview sessions and coaching team members on framework implementation.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong business analysis skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and influencing skills to build rapport at all levels.
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage stakeholders, and deliver multiple streams of work simultaneously.
  • Previous experience in data governance or data management.
  • Good project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Relevant degree qualification in business, quantitative, or IT.
  • Experience with Enterprise Data Management tooling, such as Collibra, and Data Profiling solutions like Informatica IDQ.

  • A competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
