About the Job

Operate and maintain machinery for a national, blue chip, Australian owned company in the Smithfield area to ensure production and quality targets are met within the plant.

Conduct preventative and breakdown maintenance, shutdowns and contribute to the implementation of a new product line that is currently still in installation phase.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Conduct troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment
  • Participate in shutdowns and maintenance activities to ensure production targets are met
  • Contribute to the implementation of new product lines and processes

Requirements:

  • Australian Recognized Trade qualifications in Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical field or extensive experience in a similar position with trade quals
  • Previous experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Ability to troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance
  • Proven computer literacy (intermediate)
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with internal teams
  • High attention to detail
  • High commitment to HSE
  • Current forklift licence (LF) highly desirable
