About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Field Assistant to join our Geology team at Ora Banda Mining. As a key member of our team, you will provide proactive and timely support for resource definition and exploration operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and direct Field Assistant teams to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Manage daily tasks and collaborate with the Supervising Geologist to prioritize work.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise field assistants to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Purchase and maintain field equipment, supplies, and services to ensure adequate stock items are available for day-to-day operations.
  • Assist in on-ground tenement management activities, including liaison with drilling teams.
  • Supervise and maintain high QAQC standards for all sample collection activities, including drill sampling, chip collection, and sample dispatch.
  • Collect, record, and transport samples of rock, soil, or water, and collate information collected from various samples for computer processing.
  • Perform other duties as required, including simple surveying tasks, data entry, and other computer tasks.
About You

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • Recent and relevant exploration experience.
  • Machine operating tickets, including forklift, loader, and backhoe.
  • A broad knowledge of exploration and mining processes, including soil sampling and geophysical survey supervision.
  • Contractor management experience.
  • Diamond Core and RC sampling experience.
  • A current WA C-class Driver's Licence.
  • GPS and DGPS operation experience.
  • Management experience, including leading a small team.
  • A Senior First Aid certificate (desirable).
  • Excellent record-keeping skills.
