About the Role

The APS is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Contract Manager to join our Estate Service Delivery (ESD) Branch. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the Director General Estate Service Delivery (DGESD) in the daily operations of a large and dynamic Branch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent the DGESD and Defence at internal and external forums, attend and conduct meetings, and high-level discussions with senior leaders.
  • Maintain oversight of Base Services Contracts, working with Industry Partners to deliver services across the Defence Estate.
  • Work with Defence Finance Group and Defence People Group Business Partners.

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in contract management relating to highly complex contracts.
  • Effective problem-solving and deductive reasoning skills.
  • The ability to manage and lead a diverse high-performing team.
  • The capacity to think strategically and develop plans and processes to enhance the achievement of business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and customer engagement skills.
  • High-level organisational skills, self-drive, and initiative with the ability to influence others to achieve tasks and business objectives.
  • Sound commercial and business acumen and a demonstrated understanding of the Defence Industry sector in Australia.

About Our Team

The ESD Branch provides a national role for Service Delivery Division (SDD) to manage the delivery of Base Services. This requires engagement between Defence customers and the BSC to provide national product and service management for various services, including access control and protective services, national pass office, joint operations support, and training area management.
