Job Requirements
- Critical Thinking Skills: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
- Assessment and Feedback: Monitor and assess student learning growth and achievement, providing feedback to students and parents
- Collaboration: Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the broader school community
- Professional Development: Engage in critical reflection and inquiry to improve knowledge and skills, effectively engaging students and improving their learning
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including literacy and numeracy skills
- Experience in responding to student learning needs
- Planning and implementing high-impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn, and evaluating the impact on student learning growth
- Monitoring and assessing student learning, using data to inform teaching practice and providing feedback on student learning growth and achievement
- Interpersonal and communication skills, establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the broader school community
- Behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values, reflecting upon practice and engaging in professional learning to continually improve the quality of teaching
