Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled project manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of various projects across our South-East Queensland quarries business. As a new project manager, you will have accountability and responsibility for fixed plant upgrades, ancillary equipment installations & mass excavation / stripping campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Lead safety, quality, delivery, and financial aspects of projects.
- Orientate financial performance through coordinating, programming, and administering all contracting operations and obligations.
- Provide effective team leadership, engaging with multiple internal departments to exceed client expectations.
- Ensure compliance with Boral's OHSEQ policies, meeting Safety, Environmental and Quality standards.
- Manage day-to-day operations in urban and remote locations.
- Analyse, record, and report on project risks and mitigations.
- Provide regular reporting on project schedules, look ahead and at-risk activities.
- Review and approve deviations to the project plan and schedule.
- Complete all documentation for efficient costing, raw material management, and invoicing for projects in your area of responsibility.
- Evaluate team effectiveness and coach team members for superior performance.
Requirements
- Hold a Tertiary qualification in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
- Ideal Certificate 4 or Diploma in Project Management, support in pursuit of obtaining the qualification can be provided.
- Well-developed understanding of best industry health, safety, and environmental practice.
- Competent professional with an appetite for working in and enhancing an inclusive open team.
- Effective negotiator and highly competent communicator.
