Mathematical Researcher Role

We are seeking a skilled Mathematical Researcher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking research on probabilistic methods for complex discrete structures, in collaboration with experienced academics.

About the Role
  • The researcher will work closely with the project team to develop new theoretical tools to address fundamental challenges about graphs and hypergraphs with given degrees.
  • They will contribute to the writing of research articles for publication in high-quality peer-reviewed journals.
  • The researcher will present results at international and local conferences and/or workshops relevant to the project.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct original research in asymptotic, algorithmic and/or probabilistic combinatorics, with particular focus on hypergraphs.
  2. Collaborate on research problems with the project team.
  3. Contribute to the development of new theoretical tools to address fundamental challenges about graphs and hypergraphs with given degrees.
Requirements
  • A completed PhD in a relevant area of mathematics or theoretical computer science.
  • Demonstrated expert knowledge in asymptotic, algorithmic or probabilistic combinatorics, or a closely related area.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
