As a Senior Engineering Manager - Chapter Area Lead, you will be driving DevSecOps strategy and leading engineers that report to you. You'll play an important role in steering the organisation by providing expert advice relating to technology, solution design and architecture, people leadership, and hiring.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Driving DevSecOps strategy and leading engineers that report to you.
  2. Providing expert advice relating to technology, solution design and architecture, people leadership, and hiring.
  3. Shaping the platform by contributing to the technology strategy, drafting quarterly crew memos, prioritising backlog, defining delivery roadmaps, and deciding which problems to invest in solving.
  4. Leading a high-performing engineering team with a solid technical background.
  5. Contributing to mBank's Engineering Management Practice by coaching and mentoring engineers and raising the bar for the discipline across the organization.
Tech Skills

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these will set you up for success in this team:

  1. Broad technical expertise including the ability to understand complex environments and languages.NET or similar.
  2. Experience defining and building secure web (Angular/React) and microservices REST API.
  3. Excellent understanding of large-scale distributed systems, integration, and cloud technology.
  4. Establish new ways of working and promote a DevSecOps culture of CI/CD pipelines and automation supported by world-class tools.
  5. Experience in designing and operating highly available systems in a cloud environment - AWS preferred.
