CQUniversity invites applications for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer position in Geography, joining the School of Education and the Arts.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to teaching, research and service activities, shaping the future of learners locally, nationally and globally.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering foundation and profession-focused units, engaging in quality research and scholarly activity, and supporting students across undergraduate, honours and postgraduate levels.
They will also take on leadership in curriculum development, course coordination, research projects or supervision responsibilities, depending on experience.
Qualifications and RequirementsThe ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for innovative teaching, a collaborative approach to research and scholarship, and the ability to build strong connections with students, colleagues, industry and community partners.
- Completion of a postgraduate qualification or equivalent in Geography, Environmental Science or a closely related discipline (Lecturer).
- Teaching qualification or willingness to complete a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching / Education (Lecturer).
- Experience teaching and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students, using multi-modal delivery strategies.
- Proven research record with recent publications and ability to contribute to the School's research program.
Senior Lecturer – Additional Requirements:
- Possession of a PhD in Geography, Environmental Science or a closely related discipline.
- Experience in team leadership and mentoring junior academic staff.
- Ability to develop engaging teaching materials and effectively collaborate with industry and community partners.
