Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Construction Budget Specialist to join our team at Burbank. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating and plan checking, with a proven track record of producing accurate budgets and orders for site commencement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with drafting personnel, engineers, builders, contractors, suppliers, and project managers to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Analyse architectural and engineering drawings and specifications to prepare detailed 'Bill of Quantities' listings, outlining the individual components required for the project and related actions.
  • Check on changes of design to assess their impact on cost and adjust estimates accordingly.
  • Issue purchase orders and contracts for respective functions, calculating the company's required margin in accordance with company policy.
  • Analyse plans and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labour estimates.
  • Assess the cost-effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to tenders as the project develops.
  • Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
  • Assist in any invoicing queries, ETS's, and respond in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in either production and/or sales estimating.
  • Proven skills in estimating and plan checking, with sound knowledge of the new home construction process.
  • Strong teamwork focus and ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Accuracy with figures and ability to meet given timelines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation: We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a full-time position based in Burbank, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
