Senior Emergency Response Training Expert

We are currently seeking a seasoned Senior Emergency Response Training Expert to join our fire and rescue operations. With over 35 years of experience working with Defence and providing firefighting services, we are committed to delivering high-quality training programs that meet the needs of our clients.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and deliver emergency response training programs, focusing on contractual requirements.
  • Develop departmental-specific curriculum guidelines consistent with national legislation, best practices, and program implementation.
  • Support the development of assessment tools to ensure appropriate systems, governance, and processes are in place for ongoing skills and competency maintenance.
  • Develop methods and assessment tools for the recognition of prior learning and criteria for their application.
  • Contribute at a state and national level to the development of training curriculum, learning guides, and assessment procedures for emergency response topics.

Requirements: Applicants must provide evidence of the following qualifications:
- PUA50120 Diploma of Public Safety (Emergency Management)
- PUA30622 Certificate III in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations)
- TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Diploma of Vocational Education & Training desirable)
- PUAFIR205 Respond to aviation incident (specialist)
- PUAFIR305 Respond to aviation incidents (general)
- HLTAID014 Provide Advanced First Aid or higher qualification
- Valid Driver's License
- Must be able to maintain a Defence baseline security clearance, as a result, the successful incumbent must be an Australian Citizen.
