We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Steel Fabricator.

The Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Steel Fabricator to contribute to our growing business. You will be responsible for creating accurate 3D models, drawings, and documentation using Tekla software.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing manufacturing drawings and producing material lists
  • Maintaining drawing templates and updating designs as required to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Producing accurate documentation for manufacturing

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A qualification in Engineering Drafting or Architecture, or equivalent industry experience
  • Proven experience producing set-outs and fabrication/shop drawings
  • A strong ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and architectural plans
  • Ability to 3D model and produce accurate documentation for manufacturing
  • Solid foundation in CAD software relevant to steel detailing (Tekla preferred)
  • Knowledge of Australian steel construction standards and practices
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and time management
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across teams

About You:

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Minimum 3 years of CAD experience, preferably with Tekla software
  • Experience in the administration of construction contracts
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage in clear and productive exchanges with project managers and collaborators
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a small, driven team
  • Well-developed time management and organisational skills
  • Proven ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and maintain momentum across projects
