The role of an auxiliary firefighter is crucial in ensuring the safety and security of people and properties across Queensland.
This position forms part of a single agency responsible for delivering high-quality fire, rescue, emergency, and disaster management services.
Main Responsibilities:- To respond to fires and other emergencies as a member of a team
- To promote community safety and emergency preparedness through educational activities
- To develop and maintain competencies by participating in regular drills and training courses
- To maintain attendance standards for emergency incidents and training sessions
- Written consent from the employer to attend emergency situations (where applicable)
- To reside or work within a reasonable distance of an auxiliary fire station
- Australian Permanent Resident Status
To determine suitability for this role, candidates will be assessed on leadership and management behavioural competencies including Performance through Vision, Performance through Results, and Performance through Accountability.
