Job Description

We are seeking a strategic communications professional to develop and execute integrated communications strategies that align with our organization's vision and purpose. This role will be responsible for managing company reputation, positioning us as an industry leader, and supporting our members in building stronger businesses.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in public relations and media engagement, with a proven track record of leading people and managing resources to deliver objectives. A minimum of 5 years' experience in the communications field is required, along with tertiary qualifications in a related discipline such as communications or public relations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement external communications strategy plans that assist in achieving our organization's strategy and purpose.
  • Prepare and execute plans to engage key industry community partners, influencers, and stakeholders on issues affecting our members.
  • Provide expert communications advice and assistance to executive team members and directors, including preparation of speeches and presentations.
  • Actively safeguard our organization's reputation by anticipating, identifying, and managing issues, and providing guidance to others on external crisis communications.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the organization to ensure all efforts align with our brand, goals, and objectives.
