Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Specimen Collector to join our team at Laverty Pathology. As a Clinical Specimen Collector, you will be responsible for collecting blood and non-blood samples from patients, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely delivery of specimens for testing.

You will work closely with customers, clinic staff, and couriers to ensure seamless specimen collection and transportation. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a solo clinic setting.

The successful candidate will have a Certificate III in Pathology Collection or a healthcare background, excellent customer service skills, and a high level of empathy. You must also hold a valid Driver's license and be willing to travel to multiple clinics. Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to possess:

  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in Phlebotomy/Certificate III in Pathology Collection or a healthcare background
  • Transferable skills gained in other positions within the healthcare industry highly desirable
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a high level of empathy
  • Organisation and time management skills, with attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously, sometimes working independently in a solo clinic
  • Valid Driver's license and flexibility to travel to multiple clinics
  • Working with Children's Check or willingness to obtain one
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency, or a valid visa with permission to work
Salary and Benefits

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience
