About The ProjectWe're excited to be delivering the M7 - M12 Interchange, a major project that will significantly improve travel times and road congestion for residents and improve freight movement throughout Western Sydney. The project will integrate the M7 with the new M12, a toll-free motorway connecting travellers to the new Western Sydney International Airport.
About The RoleWe're looking for a skilled Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you'll coordinate on-site construction engineering activities to achieve project time and budget objectives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing on-site engineering functions directly and through subordinates.
- Monitoring quality and quantities of incoming equipment and material.
- Coordinating the activities of the team, programming workloads, and providing technical and administrative guidance.
- Ensuring the construction-related aspects of the project meet or exceed performance targets in relation to time, cost, and quality.
- Accurate forecasting of costs and utilizing corrective action to maximize profit margins.
- Assigning work and assisting with reviews for accuracy and adherence to required standards of supplier, subcontractor quotations/purchase orders, and subcontractor arrangements.
- Participating in planning works, including day works and intense around-clock working within rail closures. Planning resource requirements, including plant, equipment, labor, materials, and staff resourcing.
- Liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and planning authorities to ensure satisfactory completion of works.
- Preparing project status reports and change orders.
- Degree-qualified Civil Engineer.
- Demonstrated skills in programming, cost control, quality assurance, safety, and supervision/people management.
- Proven experience in working on Tier 1 Civil Infrastructure Projects.
- Confident communicator with the ability to collaborate with different stakeholders.
- Knowledge of project management structure, plans, specification, standards, and implications for project accountabilities.
