UXO Technician Role Overview

Tetra Tech RPS Energy Pty Ltd is seeking a UXO Technician to support the delivery of UXO and Explosive Ordnance Material (EOM) identification and remediation projects. The successful candidate will assist in mitigating risk caused by UXO and EOM both on and off the Defence Estate, using a strong awareness of health and safety and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the team as project issues arise during project execution;
  • Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards;
  • Additional duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A UXO Technician must be a graduate of a Military Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) School or an equivalent course from a suitable training organisation, where the qualifying course will have consisted of 200 hours or greater of instruction resulting in;
  • A military qualification of Explosive Ordnance Disposal;
  • An RPS/ISSEE civilian qualification at EOD Level 2;
  • Knowledge of UXO identification, handling and remediation methods is essential and must have experience in logistics;
  • 2 years logged experience in all aspects of munitions response actions and/or range clearance activities, as appropriate for the contracted operation since qualifying as a UXOFA.
