Medical Coding Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a skilled team as a Medical Coding Specialist.
About the Role:The successful applicant will assist with the coding of outstanding records to support ongoing achievement of departmental goals and objectives. They will work closely with the Clinical Coding Service to ensure accurate and complete information for coding purposes.
Responsibilities:- Assist in reviewing and coding patient records to meet quality standards.
- Liaise with clinical staff, administrative staff, and other stakeholders to obtain accurate and complete information for coding purposes.
- Participate in internal and external clinical coding audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist with the review of data validations and correction of errors associated with mandatory data reporting submissions.
To be successful in this role, you must have highly developed interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent organisational and prioritisation skills. You will also require a minimum 2 years' experience in clinical coding in a tertiary hospital environment using ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS.
