We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Worker to join our team at BaptistCare NSW & ACT. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting older people to live well in the comfort of their own home.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with showering, dressing, and daily living activities.
- Assist with household cleaning and laundry, meal preparation, and provide respite for carers.
- Transport clients to and from appointments and shops, and provide social support.
- Assist with complex care needs and provide emotional support to clients.
- Valid driver's license and reliable motor vehicle with minimum Third-Party Property Damage car insurance.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and an empathetic, patient, and caring nature.
- Ability to work independently in the community and provide support to clients in their own homes.
- Fully-funded traineeship program leading to a Certificate III in Individual Support in partnership with TAFE for interested/eligible staff.
- Learning and development support committed to your skill development.
- Direct access to a dedicated supervisor to support you.
- Access to Employee Assistance Programs, including counselling support and wellness programs.
