The Senior Project Officer plays a pivotal role in delivering cutting-edge projects to the ASD through various programs and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Define and execute small-scale projects or sub-projects
- Develop and manage project plans, including scope, schedule, quality, risk, and communication strategies
- Monitor activities against the project timeline, managing stakeholder involvement as required
- High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office suite products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
- Demonstrated experience in ICT projects, budgeting, project accounting, and financial reporting procedures for Government major projects
- Knowledge of ASD finance, procurement, and asset management policies, processes, and frameworks
- Demonstrated experience in the use of Government Financial and Asset Management systems
- A flexible work environment allowing employees to work between 7am and 7pm
- A low attrition rate due to the variety of projects and opportunities across different business areas
- Long-term contracts available
- An established relationship with government panels since 2004
- A strong reputation for managing contractors in defence/national security industries
- A dedicated account manager and payroll assistant
- Rate negotiation guidance and regular visits to Canberra for social events
