About the Role

We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team at Central Coast Local Health District. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to young people aged 12–24 with multiple vulnerabilities and/or chronic illness or disability.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing clinical care within your scope of practice, including immunisations, sexual and reproductive health, chronic illness support, and treatment planning.
  • Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless, wraparound support for young people.
  • Developing and implementing individualized care plans that address the unique needs and goals of each young person.
  • Collaborating with internal and external partners to provide comprehensive health services and support.

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of young people, each with their own unique experiences and challenges. You will be part of a supportive team that values collaboration, creativity, and compassion.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Experience and understanding of health issues facing young people and experience working with vulnerable groups, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with young people, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong organisational skills, able to manage competing priorities while maintaining high standards of care and professionalism.
  • A collaborative, flexible, and proactive approach, contributing positively to team culture and continuous learning.
