Job Overview

The Senior Power Distribution Systems Engineer will lead the design, analysis and implementation of power distribution systems for utilities.

This role entails leading cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet quality standards, regulatory requirements and customer specifications.

The successful candidate will have expertise in developing detailed engineering plans, including system layouts, equipment selection and electrical design calculations.

  • Develop innovative solutions to optimise power distribution systems and enhance performance.
  • Collaborate with engineers to deliver high-quality projects that meet customer needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in power distribution systems.

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of distribution networks, including 11kV, 22kV and 66kV overhead and underground lines.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Overhead Line Design.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD, NEARA and/or N'Poles.
  • Strong understanding of engineering standards, regulations and procedures within a Distribution network environment.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Industry: Electric Power Transmission, Control and Distribution.
