">Purpose of the Role
">The functions of this role are multifaceted, with a primary focus on responding to emergency incidents as a member of a team. This entails adhering to operational protocols and standards, prioritizing community safety, and participating in community education activities.
">A key aspect of this position involves promoting a positive team culture, maintaining station facilities, and contributing to incident reporting and administration.
">As an individual contributor, you will be assessed on leadership and management behavioural competencies, focusing on performance through vision, results, and accountability.
">You will also be expected to exemplify the QFES shared values: respect, integrity, trust, courage, loyalty, and maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to organisational health principles and procedures.
">How You Will Contribute
">Your responsibilities will include operating specialist firefighting equipment, contributing to upkeep and maintenance of station facilities, and communicating effectively with QFES personnel, other emergency service providers, and the general community.
">Additionally, you will be required to attend regular drills and training sessions, develop and maintain your competencies, and adhere to legislative, policy, and procedural requirements.
">Requirements
">To be successful in this role, you must possess strong interpersonal skills, demonstrate adaptability, and exhibit a customer-focused mindset. You should be able to manage internal and external relationships, support others' capability development, and give constructive feedback.
">Mandatory Requirements include having an Australian Permanent Resident Status, a Manual C Class driver's licence, obtaining an MRV licence within 12 months, and committing to ongoing skills acquisition and maintenance programs.
">Estimated Salary Range
">$65,000 - $85,000 per annum (dependent on experience), plus allowances and benefits
