The Assembly Mechanic plays a pivotal role in our production team, working on various vehicles and subsystems. This position involves performing mechanical build tasks, reading and interpreting production drawings and technical documents, and collaborating with a team of skilled professionals to ensure high-quality and timely assembly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical build tasks for Vehicles and Subsystems in first-run production, adhering to strict manufacturing guidelines, engineering specifications, quality standards, and WHS requirements.
- Read and interpret production drawings, manuals, and technical documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with a team of Mechanics, Electricians, and Production Workers to achieve seamless assembly and meet project deadlines.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Certificate III in Heavy Diesel Mechanic or equivalent qualification.
- Ability to read and interpret production drawings, manuals, and technical documents with ease.
- Self-motivation, initiative, ability to work independently, and willingness to participate as part of a collaborative team.
- Ability to travel interstate or overseas for short training periods (infrequent).
- Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
