Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic Senior Structural Engineer who excels in structural design, business development, leadership, and client management. This role offers a clear pathway to a Director position with opportunities for shareholding in the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver projects from concept to completion, ensuring high-quality design and execution.
- Design reinforced and post-tension concrete, timber, and steel structures.
- Conduct detailed and accurate calculations to support project design and execution.
- Liaise closely with clients, architects, and engineers to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Train, mentor, and develop junior engineers to enhance their technical skills.
- Collaborate with internal drafting and engineering teams for seamless project delivery.
- Oversee project budgets to ensure financial targets are met.
- Drive business growth by securing new projects and building strong client relationships.
- Lead and manage a high-performing team to ensure project success.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 4 years of local structural engineering experience (commercial, retail, residential, and industrial sectors highly regarded).
- Proficiency in SPACE GASS, RAPT, Structural Toolkit, Inducta, or similar engineering software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to generate business and cultivate industry relationships.
- Experience in team leadership and project management.
